EDWARD MYRON MELNICK It is with heavy hearts that we announce Ed's passing on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at Victoria General Hospital, at the age of 79. Ed took great joy in the simplest things in life and especially nature, but his greatest joy was his boys. All who knew Ed will miss his kind and gentle way. He fought bravely and with great determination throughout the later part of his life and in his final days in care. Ed leaves behind his wife Mildred; sons Curtis (Liz) and two grandchildren, Owen and Catherine of Ottawa, ON; son Jay (Jackie); his sisters, Irene of Spokane, Washington, and Lila of Victoria, BC; along with numerous nieces and nephews, as well as his extended family. Ed was predeceased by his sisters Mary and Rhoda and brother Bill. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date. Special thanks to Dr. C.
